Let's Talk About Sex and Dementia - Sharon Nichols, CTRS/L and Jan Chiampa, Dementia Specialist

When we work with persons who have dementia, we have many resources to support how to approach dealing with challenging behaviors and/or how to provide interventions that are based upon the person's levels of ability as one progress in their journey with dementia.  It is not as easy to find information that explores older persons as sexual beings and how their sexuality is expressed when they are progressing with dementia.  This session will explore how people with dementia may express themselves sexually and help us to develop approaches to understand and support our residents so that they can continue to be fully human.

Evening Workshops - There will NOT be any evening sessions this year!
