Piece by Piece: Dementia Care "Puzzle Solving: No Missing Pieces presented by Roberta Moran, ADC, AP-BC, CDP
This workshop provides a step by step clarification of the guidelines & legalities important to dementia care units - and for all the care of our frail, elderly residents. Attendees will examine new regulations and blend together with longstanding practices and activities. The managing Activity Professional will learn ways to motivate, encourage and train staff, in collaboration with all departments and make lifestyle improvements for residents in varied settings.

Social/Professional Networking - What's the Benefit? presented by Rosey Beckford, MEd, ADC
This workshop will discuss the benefits of using LinkdIn and Facebook and making them work for you in your busy, everyday lives. Participants will learn how to sign up and open basic Facebook and LinkedIn accounts on their smart phones, tablets or laptops. These networking tools provide opportunities for growth in your profession, can connect you to your family and friends and keep you abreast of local news and events.
